Hello, I currently have the advanced service package 5 with Sierra chart but do not pay for any additional data packages. Does this mean that I am getting live streaming data for Forex pairs? If not what data package do I need to get in order to get this live streaming data for the forex pairs. Thanks, |

You have access to live data for forex with any Service Package from Sierra Chart. Hi. I'm using SC pkg 3 via AMP Futures with the SC TT-W with Denali data feed and I am not getting the live data for forex: GBPUSD, EURUSD, USOIL, etc do not update at all. Any ideas?

Where should I (as well as a prospective client) go to to read about all restrictions and policy exceptions applied to accounts with brokers?

We do not have these listed since it depends upon the particular broker what restrictions exist. If you have a direct account, you can still have order fill fees billed to your trading account with AMP. We do support that. You guys sure spend a lot of real estate on this site to explain how bad the data feeds from other vendors can be. Maybe you could use just a portion of that to alert prospective clients and users that, in good faith, think they're getting package 3 instead of package 1.

This is really the responsibility of AMP since they are the provider of the offer you have taken advantage of. You are a customer of them. Not us. The pricing they are offering Sierra Chart, is their choice. We do not agree with it. So do not put the responsibility on us. If AMP decides to make the offering that they are, and insisting on the particular background arrangement which creates the restrictions, then they need to take responsibility for it. The basic restrictions is that there is no access to Data and Trading services other than those available through the broker. We do not want to impose restrictions and we are planning with ensuring consistent pricing for everyone. There is not a proper relationship when you are getting Sierra Chart through a broker. They do not want to pay much. We simply do not like this arrangement but we tolerate it. You need to pay for Sierra Chart directly to get full functionality and support. This is the proper relationship if you want to have a direct relationship with us. Support is also limited when you have a Sierra Chart account through a broker: Sierra Chart Purchase and License Information: Support Services And if you want to have a direct Sierra Chart account without restrictions, and then have the order fill fees billed to your trading account, this is supported.
