The linked screenshot shows a 5 min chart of NQZ20 on the left. The 5 min Parabolic study is overlaid on a 5 sec chart on the right to show more detail. At 5:45, the Parabolic study appears to have a glitch by flipping from above to below too soon, and the new marker is drawn inside the 5:45 bar at the 5:40 low. At 5:50, the marker is moved down to the 5:45 low; that value seems to be correct. At 5:55, the marker doesn't change from the 5:50 bar, which seems wrong as it should have moved upwards. http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?Image=16027568744.png |

Most likely you need to change the Input for Bar Time Matching Method to Containing Match. But, refer to the documentation starting at the Input Match Source Bars to Destination Bars and the following two sections: Study/Price Overlay Study: Match Source Bars to Destination Bars For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Thanks for the link, that's been annoying me for a while. But the overlay isn't the issue; I just included that to highlight what was going on inside the 5 minute bars. Replaying the chart shows: - at 05:45:00 the Parabolic value for the 5:45 bar opens at 11766.00 - at 05:46:29 the bar hits the trend and bar low of 11736.75 - at 05:49:44 the bar hits the bar high of 11766.00, touching the Parabolic value The issue is that when SC flips the marker from above to below at 05:49:44, it uses the trend low set in the previous bar (11740.75) instead of the actual trend low of 11736.75. |
