Hello there, I'd like to set a Point & Figure Chart but I it isn't clear at all. I can't even see the X's and O's and the chart. How do I get a clear chart? Regards, A |

In Chart >> Chart Settings >> Time Period per Bar select Point and Figure. Refer to the information here: Chart Settings: Point and Figure Bar (Intraday Charts) Then you also need to set Chart >> Chart Settings >> Graph Draw Type to "Point and Figure". Refer to the information here: Chart Settings: Graph Draw Type (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Bar Period >> Graph Draw Type menu) For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

For intraday P&F charts: Under Chart > Chart Settings Days to Load = However many days you want Chart Data Type = Intraday Chart Bar Period Type = Point and Figure Bar Settings = Box Size - Reversal Amount (example: 10-10 would indicate 10 tick box size and 10 box reversal amount) Graph Draw Type = Point and Figure XO Once you okay out of that: Right click on price ladder on right side of chart and select: Interactive Scale Range and Scale Range Automatic You can then drag the price ladder on the right of the chart up/down to stretch the chart vertically... or use the up/down cursor keys to expand/contract the chart horizontally. |

Hello there, I've been trying to put a clear Point & figure chart but there's still double X's and O's on each column? Also, what can I do to write messages and arrows on the chart? Thanks, A |

Do you, by any chance, have the Point and Figure study on that chart? If so, then remove that, as you are using the main Bar Period Type as a Point and Figure, therefore you do not need the study. As to Messages (text) refer to these drawing tools: Chart Drawing Tools: Type Text | Stationary Text As to Arrows, refer to this drawing tool: Chart Drawing Tools: Arrow For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-10-15 18:54:05

Hello there, What do you exactly mean by "Point and Figure study on that chart"? Where do I remove it? Also, as for HLC bars or OHLC bars, is it possible to put only blacks bars and to enlarge each bar width? Regards, Alexandre |

At one point in Sierra Chart you had to use a study to get a Point and Figure chart. This was replaced eventually, by a Bar Period Type that is set in Chart >> Chart Settings of Point and Figure. Go to Analysis >> Studies to see if you have the Point and Figure study on the chart. If you do, select it and then select the Remove button to get rid of it. Let us know if this resolves this for you. ----------------------------------- For HLC and OHLC bars, you can change the color and width from the following setting and the one after it in Global Settings >> Graphics Settings: Graphics Settings: Bar High-Low Down For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
