flat and cancel positions

hello, i looked around the board but couldnt find anything. every time i hit my flatten and cancel hot key to take me out of a trade it only removes my stop and target and does not take me out of my position, only if i press flat repeatedly. then a message pops up saying position does not exist yet i clearly have a position still on. not sure why this is happening randomly now as it used to work perfect. i have tried updating the software as well. TIA
