My PC crashed and I'm trying to lighten the load and have just found this out! Overall size is 31.7GB, and the size on disc is 24.2GB (not sure where 7GB has disappeared to?). The big file in this is the data file which is 31.5GB/24.1GB size on disc. Within this, the marketdepthdata file is a whopping 20GB. Can anyone guide me on how to trim this down? I'm assuming a lot of this is historical market depth and I meet need to tweak some chart settings to stop it building up. Also, how can I delete this safely without messing up SC? Also, some of my charts are huuuuge file sizes as well, which I'm guessing is market depth related as it's on some charts. One chart file is 3gb and the other is 2gb?! Any help is greatly appreciated. Regards, bootsyjam |

The first thing to do is to follow the instructions in this section to clean out any old symbols and then you can clean out the files associated with those symbols (note the link to this in the section we link to): Chart Data and Chart Data Files: Cleaning Up Old and Unused Symbols for Efficiency Next, if you are not using any third party studies, or if you know that the developer of the third party studies has versions available for the current release of Sierra Chart, then upgrade to the Current Version using these instructions: Software Download: Fast Update For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |
