market depth historical graph on new symbol

I've searched the support board, and have not found anything referring to what I'm trying to do. A friend of mine created a sort of reconstructed tape chart. the symbol for this is ESU20_FUT_CME-BID_ASK_TRADE_SYNC. I created a new symbol for it in global symbols and turned record market depth on. Not sure if this was the right way to go about it, but either way, even when i have market depth historical graph turned on, nothing shows. However, when I enable "Draw DOM Graph on Chart" the appropriate depth levels for ES still show like they normally would on a regular ES chart, as they should, since its just combining trades, not trying to pull depth that isnt there (if that makes any sense what so ever). I can't seem to figure out why the study is not plotting on the chart. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks, A
