freak quantity

started version 2156 this morning on Sim and all went well, after an extended lunch break i restartted the system and ton entering a 1 quantiity for a trade a 44 quantity appeared for the trade. flattening out and restartindg again same thing again a 44 quantity appeared in the dome set for 1 quantity. I closed the dome and reopened it with same erratic behavior. I closed the chartbook and restarted the system and the erratic behavior disappeared. It is fortunate I was on sim becausE the p&l wAS SHOWING NUMBERS IN THE THOUSANDS. Any explanation for this erratic behavior? I hate for this happening while on live and inadvertently not noticing it in time? I was extremely cautious entering the quantity 1 while 44 was showing on the dome. |

We need you to show us screenshots of the quantities you are seeing and entering and where. as mentioned in mmy post the problrem disappeared so I cant replicate and send pics. what worries me is the freak nature of this event. i have been using SC fo over 3 years so i think i know what im doing especially after the first event.the freak nature of the event and the likely possibility of it reoccuring especially if on live account, is what worries me.anything possibly to do with ver 2156? and the problem disappearing after restart ? This is not a version specific issue. We do not know what went on in your case regarding this. And that quantity must have been previously set at some some point or somehow. Also this cannot be a problem with live trading due to positions/order quantity limits which the broker will have set on your account.
