Hi Sierra-Team,

I have several charts opened linked to each other with the very same symbol, but different timeframes. Only one of these charts has "Trade > Chart Trade Mode On" and "Trade > Show Orders And Position" option active. However, after some time (I'm not sure, but I guess it happens when the application tries to close any open positions; additional question: could you give an advise on how to turn that off?) the other charts where the "Show Orders And Position" option was turned off seem to automatically switch the option back on, and I don't know how to keep it off. Could you possibly help with advise?

Thanks in advance!

This is not making any sense to us.

Those settings are not going to be changed automatically. That is not even supported.

when the application tries to close any open positions;
This doesn't make sense either.

What feature in Sierra Chart are you referring to which would close open positions? The only thing we can think of is the Global Profit/Loss Management feature.

Hi, please see attached a current sreenshot. I've shut down sierra over weekend with only the chart in the center having "Show Orders And Position" active and exited Sierre with "Save all" option. Today, after starting Sierra "Show Orders And Position" is active again on all charts, #14 to #20 (see Screenshot #2).

Global Profit/Loss Management feature isn't active either (see Screenshot #3). Since the automatic position close seems to happen at 9pm CEST (which is 2pm Central Daylight Time), I will upload an excerpt of the log file later.

My current Sierra version is: 2128 64-bit (31964M).

Hi,

As described above, please find attached a screenshot where Sierra Chart tries to flatten all positions at 9pm CEST. Additionally, like assumed, the "Show Orders And Position" option was reactived on all charts (#14 to #20, according to Screenshot_2.png in the post above).

If you provide us the Chartbook we can test but we do not see how there could be a problem like this:
after starting Sierra "Show Orders And Position" is active again on all charts, #14 to #20 (see Screenshot #2).

Instructions:

You need to look at the Trade Activity Log to find the order which is flattening the positions and determine its origin. Instructions:

Hi,

Thanks for your advise, which was of great help right away, I think. When trying to find out where the attempt of flattening positions originates from, I came across the fact that I cloned charts #14 to #20 from chart #13. Chart #13 uses the setting "Standard.twconfig" in the "Trade Window for Chart" which actually had the option "Flatten & Cancel at Set Time" activated (please see Sreenshot_5.png). I now selected the setting "SimpleBracket.twconfig" throughout the charts #14 to #20 and also changed that option for "Standard.twconfig" which I also attached to this post. Hence, I assume that there will not be an attempt to flatten any positions at 9pm CEST now. I am not sure if that helped with the "Show Orders And Position" option resetting, but I will keep you updated with that. Also, please find attached the Chartbook in use "06_Standard_Setup.Cht" as desired.

Thanks for your effort and best regards.

Obviously, changing the settings in each Trade Window for Chart did the trick so far. Thanks again for the advise.
