basically, what I would want is the ability to draw a vertical line and have it copy to a different chart and symbol. but, because chart drawings can't be copied in this specific case, idk what other option there is?

before I get the suggestion to use Time Line, i know i can do that, but i ideally would like something that can be set with a click and drag

Yes that is correct. Additionally: You can draw a vertical line and have it copied to a different chart that has a different symbol. Just use the copy drawings capability and make sure that the option for Show Chart Drawings for Different Symbols is enabled.
