I'm going to write my first trading study and access data from studies that are already plotted on the chart. I don't think I can use the Study ID's directly because for different instruments, the chart studies could have been loaded in a different order and have different pre-assigned StudyID's. So in the trading study, should I somehow cycle through all of the loaded studies for a chart and know which is which by the Name field and then I'll know what StudyID relates to a respective chart study? Thanks for the guidance. |

Yes that is one way but you can also use Inputs to set the study identifiers: ACSIL Interface Members - sc.Input Array Specifically: ACSIL Interface Members - sc.Input Array: sc.Input[].SetStudyID() Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
