Hi, I keep receiving the error; "Configuration File account checksum error" and also the error; "configuration file size of 26 bites is not the 437357 expected bytes to write. The configuration file may be corrupt". I came to my workstation today and everything has been reset and chart-books wiped. I restored an earlier version of chart-books and settings, however when I restarted my machine, the same thing occurred. Please can you advise on the potential issue and whether there is a resolve for this? Thank you, Ben Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-08-12 17:21:17

Did you try restoring a backup of the configuration file itself? Use an earlier one that is not giving a checksum error.

Thank you, After replacing that file, I can now login, however now I have a problem that historical data downloads but new candles/lines are not printed and all charts are static despite appearing to be connected. I have restarted PC and Sierra to no avail. Is there also any way that I can also restore my toolbar configuration as this has reverted to default. Thanks, Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-08-12 19:50:09

The problem is most likely what is explained here: Data/Trading Service Connection and Symbol Issues: 1.3. Symbols You do not have Sierra Chart set to use Interactive Brokers. That is the problem. Ah, OK, thanks, will have to work out how to reconnect again. Can you advise how I return my toolbar please? And also, is there a way I can avoid such a problem again? Thanks, |

Here are the interactive brokers set up instructions: Interactive Brokers Trading Service: Setup Instructions Can you advise how I return my toolbar please? This is done by restoring a global configuration file, from a date that has the configuration that you want, assuming that file is usable. And also, is there a way I can avoid such a problem again? Clearly something went wrong with your system causing the configuration file to become corrupted which caused the issue. That is why there are backup configuration files.
