Hello,
I have another question, please.

I am trying to figure out how to save a simulator/market-replay session. I have read over much of the info
on this site. And I found this question posed by someone else:

Replay backtest statistics

but.. it does not address how to actually save a session to continue it later.
I notice that the drawings are saved, and the charts, but not any results from the simulator session,
and not any open positions. (the test essentially begins all over again).

Please help. Thanks again for your time !

No. You would need to pause the replay and continue it later. However, the pause is not going to remain if you restart Sierra Chart.

and does it save the simulation results up to then also ?
Yes.

I'm not sure what is wrong. But I am not seeing any orders go through in the "Trade Activity Log". It is completely empty. I checked every tab and setting on that window. And I did select simulator. And still it's all empty.
As for the other window that records trade info...that shows "orders, position, and balance"... that one only shows a
balance. All the other tabs on that window remain empty also.

And as for the balance... when I try to open one single position, on one chart...it shows two position, twice my order size... one for each chart I have open. (only 2 charts open, linked by scrolling and market times, and the same symbol, just different time frames). So it shows one order for the 60min chart , but then also one for the Daily chart...with a total of both of those added together. Why is is it doing that? How do I get it to stop?

So, to summarize, I need to know how to make orders appear in the Activity Log, and the other position/order/balance window. (to show each order, it's price, size, and results)... and how to get rid of the double entry stuff.

I have already tried opening the "general tab" under the trade tab. And I clicked for it to save a large number of days for simulator and non simulator results...and for it to open the orders tab when a trade is placed. What else do I need to do here?

Thanks again for your time ! I'm sure the temporary frustration is well worth the wait.

Are you performing manual trading from a chart? What are the settings you have set at the top of the Trade >> Trade Activity Log >> Trade Activity tab?

... Yes, I am doing manual trading from the chart, using the DOM, and chart trading. As for the activity log, I keep trying to select "Simulated" or "All Simulated" or even "Replay/Backtest" .... and whenever I select those from the drop down window, and then hit Apply, it instantly reverts back to "Non-Simulated". IDK why.
The other setting are "all activity", "all accounts"(<--it reverts to "all accounts" no matter what I select also) , and "Long & Short"(<-- which is greyed out anyway). The dates are set to the same dates are my charts...(but I've tried dates sooner, and further back to no avail). And the 2nd date is "today". No matter what, when I hit apply, it reverts back to "non-simulated" , and all the tabs remain empty.(although sometimes the trade activity tab will show something about "connected, with a date and time by it" .

At the top of the Trade Activity Log select Replay/Backtest assuming you are doing trading during a replay.

For the symbol you need to select [Sim]EURUSD. Most likely this is the problem. The second Date does need to be set to "Today". The first Date needs to be before the Date where the simulated trading began.

In regards to post #8, we will solve the problem with the duplicate. For now just disregard the totals.

oh, wow, I don't know why I didn't see that middle blank drop down menu (the one with the symbols)...

Thanks for your patience :)
