I'm actually serious - for study purposes.

Is it possible to plot the Daily Open as a Line and displace it one day? The caveat being that I want to do this without seeing tomorrow's data - consider the chart is scrolled to obscure the next day.

For example, the chart data currently set to 20/01/20 - 20/01/27... it is an intraday chart and I only have visible the data for the 23rd... is it possible to have the Open for the 24th plotted onto the 23rd? Again, without having the data from the 24th visible.

Thanks,

Elize

Look at using the Daily OHLC study:
Daily OHLC

And then use a negative displacement for the Open Subgraph:
Chart Studies: Subgraphs Tab >> Displacement

And only set it to display the Open Subgraph.

spoke to soon :(

it will only print the displaced Open when that (displacement related) bar is visible on the graph. This means if I have it set to -2 then the day 2 bars forward HAS to be first visible on the chart. I want to be able to see the Open without seeing the whole day.

We will solve this. We did not realize this was the case.
