In order to correct a rare issue with market statistics where sometimes the closing reference price to determine whether a stock is up or down may not have been correct and was from more than a trading day ago, we implemented special logic to not use a closing price from more than a trading day ago in the market statistics calculations to determine whether an issue is up or down. In this case the current open price is used as the point of reference. This has caused the problem today where not as many issues appear to be up in market statistics calculations that are based upon up/down issues, than actually are. We will implement a solution for this. This does not affect the TICK type calculations.
