HI SC

when i display "peaks and valley" for my DVP, a bug occur with the message

"An unhandled exception was caught in c_chart::windowproc. message: 15, wparam: 0, Iparam:0 2014-01-23 21:18:27 " and the DVP disappear, the tape flashes...

What is the problem ??

Could you provide us a Chartbook that contains one chart with the study configured as you are using it before you enable Peaks and Valleys so we can test this. Here are the instructions:

We cannot work with this Chartbook. It is freezing Sierra Chart when we try to open it because there is something about its settings causing an enormous number of calculations. It also contains numerous custom studies.

It also contains multiple charts. We just need a Chartbook with one single chart. We need the most simple set up, which is just before you make a change that causes the problem. Otherwise we cannot help with this.

After a while, your original Chartbook you posted, did open up for us.

It just took a while and we did not encounter any problems.

We are now testing the latest Chartbook you posted we have enabled Draw Peaks and Valleys for the two Volume By Price studies in one of the charts and we still do not encounter any exceptions. We will let it run for a while.

We are testing the Chartbook. So far we still see no exception. We will be reviewing the code to see if we can determine what the problem could be.

We are going to be releasing version 1087 this evening. Please test it to see if that solves the problem.
