Now that Windows 7 support has expired, Is Windows 7 (64 bit) still supported by Sierra Chart. I read your Guide and see WIndows 7 is still valid for SC I ask because I have been using a strategy in Sierra Chart for years and all of a sudden the Simulator is not working properly See thread P218667 I am on SC Version 2102, what is the prior version that I could reload and be OK. I using ema indicator only I installed V2986 using 'install prior version' - And now the start up stalls. I have successfully installed prior version in past see message log analysis see downloader log files Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-05-18 16:23:56

Actually. problem is that chartbooks saved after to V2092 will not work with versions prior to V2092 found this in release notes for V2104 - "Chartbooks saved in this version are not compatible with version 2092 and earlier, however a backup of the version of your Chartbooks before this file format change is made. "Backup2092" is added to the file name in the copy of the file made. This copy of the Chartbook can be used in earlier versions just by opening it through File >> Open Chartbook. The backups are directly contained within the Data folder for immediate access. No need to go to the Backups folder. You can go back to a prior version of Sierra Chart. If using version 2092 or earlier, you can then open your Chartbooks that have the name: [Chartbook name].Backup2092.Cht. You can then do a File >> Save As to save back them to the original name." |
