Hi SC, should I understand the new data feed also supports the symbol logic from IB?

Yes. There is mapping of the Interactive Brokers symbols to the Sierra Chart symbols for the symbols that the Sierra Chart data feed supports.

does this mean I can use a conventional eg b6h14 instead of gbp-201403-GLOBEX and be able to trade as well from the chart b6h14 with IB?

No. You must use the Interactive Brokers symbols. They will be properly mapped to the Sierra Chart data feed format.
