I am very often seeing spreads of 2 ticks for the NBBO of large futures contracts like the FDAX, GC, E6 etc. using AMP/ TTnet with Sierrachart.

Is this normal and would I also see this using say Sierracharts own data service?

Would be interested in feedback from other traders as well as the Sierrachart support team.

This depends upon what is provided by the exchange. It will be the same no matter what data service you use.

Thanks. I assumed that for large futures contracts like the ones mentioned, the spread would always be a single tick, just like with the ES for instance. I was obviously wrong and it therefore pays to be much more careful when trading GC, E6, FDAX etc. Difficult to scalp 4-8 ticks, when spreads vary between one and two ticks.....
