Why is the Market Depth Graph study storing .depth files even though recording set to No?

Hello, I have been exploring the 'Market Depth Historical Graph' study. Within the documentation it says: In order for the Market Depth Historical Graph study to display the color-coded rectangles for market depth, historical market depth data must be collected for the chart's symbol.
Currently I am viewing the chart for ES Mini and it seems like .depth files are being stored and historical data collected for this symbol although I have not changed the default settings settings and the 'Record Market Depth Data' flag is set to No within 'Global Settings >> Symbol Settings' for this symbol. Please help me understand why. Thank you! |

When using that particular study, market depth data will be recorded automatically.

The Market Depth will be recorded when you have EITHER the Symbol Settings set to Record Market Depth Data OR the Market Depth Historical Graph on a chart.
