Lost Internet Connection -- Open Positions Flattened

I experienced a short power surge today which interrupted my internet service for 10 minutes while I was in a futures trade. I ended up being flattened while disconnected, but I'm mystified how that happened.

At the time I lost internet service I was long 2 contracts and had server side OCO orders in place (entered automatically via the "use attached orders" functionality on SC's DOM) for targets of +5 pts for the first contract and +10 pts for the second contract, and a common stop for both contracts of -5 pts. Within a very few seconds after the power surge I hit "flatten" on my SC DOM. I got no response from SC to that and realized that SC had disconnected and was trying unsuccessfully to reconnect.

After several minutes I called my broker, explained the situation, and asked him to flatten my position ASAP. A few minutes later he told me I was flat.

The SC trade activity log for today reports that one contract was sold at 10:01:07.000 and the second contract was sold at 10:05:23.000, more than 4 minutes later. The log shows service order IDs of 1149692 and 1149854, respectively. The log doesn't specify an order type for either sale.

It seems strange that there would be a 4+ minute gap in closing these 2 contracts. I'm glad to have gotten flat, and I'm not concerned about the few dollars difference in the prices received when the contracts were sold, but I'm wondering what happened.

Can you make sense of this from your end? Attached is my trade activity log from today which shows the two fills at different times.

Small dollars involved here, but I'd sure like to know what happened and what I can do in the future to avoid a similar and potentially bigger problem.

Thank you,
Andrew Barnes
