charting ES futures
bar period type: volume
setting: 20,000 contracts per candle
30 days

add study: High/Low for TimePeriod Extended
start time 9:30
end time 9:31
line stop time 23:59:59

this shows the high/low lines for prior days, but not the current day. this used to work, but then i updated to current version of SC 2091 and it broke.

please help?

The problem is that you are using a Volume based chart, and therefore there may not be a bar that has a start time of 09:30:00. In those cases, it is not calculating the High/Low for that day. We also went back to release 2028 and we are seeing the same results, so this is not something new.

Really, the best way to do what you want is to have a 1 minute chart for that symbol and put the High/Low for Time Period - Extended on that chart and then use the Study/Price Overlay to overlay those results to your Volume based chart.

There is information in the following documentation about why using this study on a non-time based chart will lead to inaccuracies, as well as how to use the Study/Price Overlay to get what you need:
High/Low for Time Period - Extended
