I have some trivial newbie questions: 1) I have CTS T4 as data provider for Sierra. I trade Crude Oil (CL, Nymex). Do I get also historical data from T4, or do I must have subscribed to Sierra historical data as well? 2) In Trade Window, how to set Daily P/L to show ticks, not points? 3) In Chart Trader, how to turn 'Order Confirmation' window off? Now it pops-up every time I modify existing order on chart. 4) Easiest way to see current day total volume for my contract? Thanks! |

1. Yes, you do get historical data from the T4 system. Do you have a problem with this? CTS T4 supports both market data and trading. 2. This is set through the Position Profit/Loss setting. This is documented here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_ChartSettings.html#ProfitLossDisplay 3. You need to disable Confirmations through the Trade Window. This is documented here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_TradeWindow.html#OrderConfirmations 4. The current date total volume will be seen on the top line of the charts. You may need to add that field and this is documented here: http://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_WorkingWithCharts.html#RegionDataLine You can also see it through Window >> Current Quote Window. ok, another question: - I have now charts showing CL Feb-14 contract. It looks tomorrow CL March-14 might already have higher volume. I assume I can change the contract in Chart Settings window, right? However, it has 2 separate fields for a contract: a) Symbol and b) Trade and Current Quote Symbol. Why 2 different fields? I don't use continuous contract, just trade highest volume front month. Thanks. |

You only need to set the Symbol field. The Trade and Current Quote Symbol box will be automatically set by Sierra Chart if necessary. It is only used for Historical charts. Although there is no need to set it manually.
