Hi Team, I am new to providing a Custom Study DLL via the Automated File Distribution System. The DLL I created did not get distributed to approved users until they updated their Sierra Chart version. Are you able to shed any light on this, for example do users need to be at least on the version I compiled it on? Thankyou.

No this is not version dependent. However, there can be other reasons as explained here:

To download the file: No

To run it: Yes

If the developer builds the DLL on a version that is higher than the version the approved user has, then the study will be downloaded but not loaded. In this case, the user has to update or the developer has to re-build it on an older version.

Hi Sierra Chart Engineering,

Thanks for the link - and yes I did go through all the items in it prior to posting, appreciate you including this in your extensive documentation.

Could you please confirm Bradh's comment, as the fix is easy (run another older SC installation of SC for compilation purposes only), but I would prefer not to have to bother with multiple SC installations if possible.

Thankyou.
