Hi Is a feature available on Sierra Charts to limit the maximum number of trades per session carried out? I do know about the maximum profit and loss system. Thank you |

There is not an option for a limit on the number of trades in a session. We do have a limit on the total quantity you can open for any given account. Refer to the following for this: Global Symbol Settings: Use Global Trade Position Limit For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

Is it possible to handle this with an ASCIL script. I'm a software engineer.

Yes, you could create an ACSIL study that locks trading after a certain number of trades in a day. Refer to the following as a start: sc.SetTradingLockState() For the most reliable, advanced, and zero cost futures order routing, use the Teton service: Sierra Chart Teton Futures Order Routing |

There is a custom study that locks trading based on this and other criteria at my website: https://forgivingcomputers.com/advanced-risk-management-tool-for-sierra-chart/

For the study you have created - is it possible to disable the lock? It would be ideal if it's not possible to turn off the lock once a loss limit is reached or the number of trades exceeds a limit.
