Hi there, I have a burning question which I'm trying to understand but with no success yet. I have several intraday charts, each one of them with different future markets loaded. All of them have the same exact settings in terms of N. of days to load, Date range, etc (exactly the same setting across the board) However, when I switch between different timeframes, some of them load up quicker than others. For example, the chart of the S&P500 (e-mini) takes 10x more to upload compared to other charts (i.e. Eur) Having all the settings exactly the same, shouldn't be right having the same upload time? Why is this happening? Look forward to hearing back from you. Regards, Fabio |

Using your example, ES vs. 6E: ES typically >10x volume of 6E -> ES potentially has >10x amount of data per unit time as compared to 6E (assuming intraday storage unit of 1 tick) Chart loading time proportional to amount of data loaded, so probably not unreasonable for chart loading time to be 10x also. |

Why is this happening?
If your Intraday Data Storage Time Unit is 1 Tick, which it sounds like, then you are saving one record for every trade. Therefore, more volume means more records. If you don't need tick data, you can switch to 1 second, and the files will be smaller, and comparable in size for the same number of days. |

If I will change to 1 second as suggested, rather than 1tick, would it be affect the real time data as well?
