Good day, Can I create Numbers Bars ("FootPrint Chart") in SC for Stocks? it seems it's possible, can anyone confirm? And, is it useful or the volume is not well "readble"? What kind of DataFeed would be best (cost effective) for US Stocks, and If Possible for other countries' stocks? Here you have Data for US Equities (Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed) although it doesn't have Level 2/Market Depth. Is this Data enough or do I need Market Depth? Interactive Brokers Data is good or that "timestamp" data is really bad for this matter? Best Regards, Edgar Date Time Of Last Edit: 2020-03-12 18:35:25

Yes you can. Did you require real-time stock data? Market depth data is not required. We do not recommend using Interactive Brokers data at all for this.

Thank you for your Reply! So, Level 1 data is enough for Number Bars? What Providers are reliable if I also want European Stocks? Best Regards, Edgar Lemos |

Yes level 1 data is sufficient. What European exchanges do you need market data for? Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Hello, I was thinking about Euronext, Deutsche Börse and LSE Also, can you explain this pricing? I can purchase SC Package 5: 36$/m then US Equity 10.50$/m And this "Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed" ?? What does the Real-Time Symbols mean? There are 2 components to the costs for the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed.
The Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed itself which is prorated based upon when the data feed is activated within the month. The Exchange Fees. These are billed in full each month no matter when they are activated. The following is the pricing for the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed itself. Exchange fees are an additional cost. Refer to the Supported Exchanges section for the required exchange fees for each exchange. For 100 Real-Time Symbols: 1st connection 35.00 USD/month. For 200 Real-Time Symbols: 1st connection 45.00 USD/month. For 500 Real-Time Symbols: 1st connection 75.00 USD/month. For 20 Real-Time Symbols: 1st connection 25.00 USD/month. Also, Do you Think you can hook me up with a Trial anda US Equities so I can Try the Number Bars? I would like to see if it can do what I intended. Regards |

Euronext, Deutsche Börse and LSE Currently we offer Euronext equities and LSE but only delayed LSE data. Deutsche Borse is coming. You do need to pay for a real-time connection in addition to the exchange fee. We would recommend the 100 symbols connection. For a trial for the US equities data, just simply use the historical data . This is more than sufficient to use with Numbers Bars. Documentation: Sierra Chart Historical Data Service There is no trial for real-time data. The exchanges do not allow that. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thank You! I think my Trial Period Has Expired. Is it possible to provide me another one? So I can try this out? The 100 Symbol Connection means what? That I can Receive realtime data for 100 different stocks at the same time? But those can be changed at any time, right? Please Explain a bit more on this Regards |

That I can Receive realtime data for 100 different stocks at the same time? But those can be changed at any time, right? Yes.Your account has been activated and the usage time extended if necessary. If Sierra Chart is running, it will automatically be activated within about three minutes. However, you may need to exit from the Sierra Chart charting and trading software by selecting "File >> Exit". And then open Sierra Chart through the icon on your desktop or through the desktop Start menu. After your Sierra Chart usage time ends you need to pay for additional usage time through "Help >> Add Usage Credit". Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Thank you! I tried using Historical Data but when I added the Number Bars on any Stock or even Futures I tried, it shows the same value on every Row something like [0 x 0] or when set to Volume it shows the same volume on every row repeatedly. How Can I solve this? Regards |

Yes, I've searched it and Tick by Tick Data was set by default I've read that Number Bars Only Work with Intraday Charts (Numbers Bars: Introduction) Maybe that's why? |

Yes that is definitely correct. Also make sure you fully re-download the data in the Intraday charts to be sure there is Tick by tick Data. Well, it didn't work until now, couldn't download the Data, but it seems to be properly working now. Any way to compress the Data? Let's say I want to merge volume data and show in 10cent increments to avoid long bars? Thanks for your help |

There are some different ways this can be done. One method is documented here: Numbers Bars: Adjusting Tick Size For Larger Increment Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users.
