Hi, I wasn't able to trade today because the loading of the charts took 2 hours. I work with several footprint charts, TPO so lot if Market Depth Data. Normally it takes about 10 min to start it all. Message log does contain a lot of messages like this: Chart #3 has tagged chart #27 for full recalculation. What can I do to speed up the chartopening and reduce the DATA collection? Does Sierra automatically download all historical data with starting the charts or does it use the historical data from the DATA Folder. Thanks for your answer, Anita |

We see you are using Rithmic. We have discontinued all technical support for Rithmic. We recommend using this service: Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service But aside from all of this, follow the information in help topic 30 to reduce the CPU load: High CPU Usage | Inactive User Interface | Poor Performance | Long Time to Load Chart Data | Charts Reloading Often You may also need a more powerful computer. We think that is going to be part of the solution. Does Sierra automatically download all historical data with starting the charts or does it use the historical data from the DATA Folder. It uses the existing data already downloaded. Only the missing data is downloaded.

Hi, You say "It uses the existing data already downloaded. Only missing DATA downloaded" Rithmic said Sierra use it's own Historical Data. My charts keep saying Waiting to Download Historical Data..... I am sure that Sierra are nice people and would never force there customers to use their data and let them pay extra. I am sure about that also that you would probably look for the best options for your customer. Although it looks I have no other option at the moment then pay again.... I am sure that Sierra are nice people and would never force there customers to use their data and let them pay extra. There is no additional cost versus Rithmic. It is the opposite. The cost is less especially when doing live trading. We are going to contact One Up Trader again and let them know we have discontinued support for Rithmic and provide our alternative.
