I have used Sierra Chart for some time but have suddenly realised that I didn't understand how the bars are formed ! Then I examined it in detail and saw that the bars represent transitions between prices and the colours have to be translated to know at what price a trade occurs. Here is a picture of a 1 range (standard) chart. On the left are standard bars. On the right is what the same data would look like if the chart showed trades and not transitions. It would be much easier, for myself at least, if you'd allow the user to display the charts as actual trades. Thanks. edit; no wonder most traders become obsessed with the minutest detail... when even a 1-range chart is actually a 2-range chart !! Date Time Of Last Edit: 2014-01-07 19:45:40
