What happens with the PositionData.PositionQuantity value when trading service connection drops? Does it still keep the information it had about an open position or is this somehow affected by the lost connetion to the trading service? Thanks |

This is dependent upon the particular Trading service being used. In the case of Interactive Brokers it may go to 0 temporarily. In the case of the Sierra Chart order routing service it will be maintained and not go to 0 if there is still is a Position. We definitely do not recommend CQG and we think CQG may be affected by this as well because of how they provide position data. But probably not in a way which would affect an automated trading system because it would only be in the zero state for an instant. This is what we recommend: Sierra Chart / Trading Technologies Futures Order Routing Service Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support.
