Hello, I got a question on volume of FX pairs. For example I am looking at the daily trading volume on EURUSD for 24th Jan 2020, the number is showing as 141878. There are two questions on this which you may be able to help with:

1) what does it mean, does it mean 141787 million dollars or billion eurs or something else?

2) where is the FX trading volume data coming from? As for FX, there is no centralised trading exchanges (like stock where you could get the data directly) and the trades happen between banks and their clients directly. Did you get the trading volume from each of the banks, brokers, etc in the market then aggregate them together to get the trading volume for a specific fx pair?

Thanks a lot for your help.
