What is the recommended way to cleaning up old data files in Sierra Chart? What file types can be deleted and what is the best way to remove these files?

Would you recommend manually deleting DLY and/or SCID files? If so, what is the best way to delete them and which files?

The information for how to delete the files is given in the previous link for Deleting Chart Data Files.

You can delete them through the Operating System, but we do not recommend this unless you are thoroughly comfortable with managing and deleting files.

I am sorry but I still don't quite understand the process after reading the 2 links above. I am trying to figure out how to clean up files and free up disk space. Can I delete DLY and SCID files directly from Windows explorer window? Or what is the best way to free up disk space?
