Hi there,

I am currently using a Sierra Chart test version.
I would like to trade US stocks on the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ and NYSE. As a broker, I use Interactive Brocker.

I want to find out if Sierra Chart's data feed is better than Interactive Brocker's data feed. Can you unlock Sierra Chart's real-time data feed for NASDAQ stocks for a few days?

Can I trade with the Sierra Chart data feed through Interactive Brocker or do I need the Interactive Brocker data feed if I want to trade through Interactive Brocker?

Does the Sierra Chart Realtime Data Feed for the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ and NYSE cost just $ 10.50 a month in total or $ 10.50 a month per exchange?

Where can I order the Sierra Chart Realtime Data Feed for the New York Stock Exchange, NASDAQ and NYSE?
I really like everything I've seen from Sierra Chart.
Thanks for your support.

1. It is not possible to unlock the US Equities for a few days. The exchanges want their payments, and they charge on a per month basis, so the only thing available is to pay for and activate one month of service of the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed and the US Equities exchange and evaluate. You will find the Sierra Chart data feed much better than Interactive Brokers.

2. You can use the Sierra Chart data feed and trade with Interactive Brokers, or use their feed and trade. Either way is possible.

3. The NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX and BATS are all in the one Exchange option, so it is $10.50 per month for all of them.

4. Refer to the Setup Instructions for the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed here:
Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed: Setup Instructions

So you are aware, one difference between the Sierra Chart Equities data and the Interactive Brokers data is that the Sierra Chart Equities data does not include L2 Market Depth. So if you use Market Depth in your analysis, you will want to use the Interactive Brokers data.

Dear SC Team

1)
Currently I'm using the Denali Data Feed and the NYMEX exchange with Market Depth.
Is it possible to add to my recurring services the NASDAQ exchange with Market Depth?
Please let me know all the additional costs in this case.

If 1) is possible, please advise on 2) below as well

2)
Study: Combination Symbol Chart
I would like to combine 5 stocks on one chart, where the prices of each stock - lets say 10m - are reflected and added together on one chart. Please confirm if this is possible or there is another option to do that.

Kind regards

1. Yes, this is explained here:
Real-Time Exchange Data Feeds Available From Sierra Chart: Using Both Denali Exchange Data Feed and Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed

You will need to use the Sierra Chart Exchange Data Feed and the US Equities exchange.

2. This can be done with this study:
Add Additional Symbol

And then you can use the arithmetic studies to add them together:

Dear SC Team

Thank you very much

2) I think there is some misunderstanding and I want to clarify my request.
- The 10m bars should be added together out of 5 different stocks
- the 5 different stocks which were added together should calculated in one chart

2.1) Custom Calculated Symbols for Test with Futures:
- Please have a look at the screenshot
- Example: 2*{EURUSD}-2*{EURGBP} means for my case the following: {CLX20}+{NGX20}
- After opening the intraday chart:
Waiting to Download Historical Data
Downloading Historical Data. Bars may not appear until done.
Download Failed Error downloading historical Intraday data for Custom Calculated Symbol. Historical data file not available for symbol.

- Please help me should you notice any mistakes.

Kind regards

2) Yes, you can add these together, you will just need to use multiple versions of the Study Subgraphs Add to get them all together. Or you can use the Spreadsheet Formula study. Refer to the following:
Using the Basic Arithmetic Studies

2.1) You did not follow the instructions properly. The symbol name needs to be the formula: {CLX20}+{NGX20}. Refer to the information here:

Now its clear, thank you

What does [FSC] standing at the end of the Symbol name mean?

Kind regards

FSC stands for "Formula Symbol Calculating". In this case, it indicates that the Custom Calculated Symbol is calculating properly. If you see FSE at the end, then that means that there is an error in the calculation and you would want to let us know about that.

Dear SC Team

Please support me with point 1) above as I am now to buy it as instructed.

Do I understand correctly, that I have to buy the Exchange Data Feed for 25 USD/month and the U.S. Equities (NYSE, NASDAQ, AMEX, BATS) for 10.50 USD/month?

- Set the Number of Real-Time Symbols Per Connection (In my case what do I need: 150 or 500 real time symbols?)
- Do I need a separate account and is it possible to get a 50% discount?

Kind regards

Yes. Instructions:

You only would need 150 symbols we would expect. You do not need a separate account and that 50% discount would not be applicable in this case.
