Hello, settings assigned the OHLC Ray config correctly display values when drawing an OHLC ray line e.g. Date; Config Name on a chart. But assigning similar settings to other line tools and cannot get any values to display when drawing on a chart. What's required to configure other line tools to display date and config name values?

Each tool has different capabilities in terms of what can be displayed with it. You just need to look at the configuration information for each tool you want to use to see what is available. Refer to the following for more information:

Unless i'm missing where the settings are, please explain how to set the display date and label on other line tools. Those options are available for the OHLC tool but would like them for all line tools. If unavailable could the option be added to these tools?

For example the picture shows the settings assigned to the line tool but the label or the date doesn't show on the chart.

You would need to go to the Configuration window for each tool and set it up as you want/can. For example, for the Line tool, select Tools >> Tool Configs >> Line Config then select the Labels tab. In there, you will see that the only option for text to display is the Copy Config Name to Text. If you want this to occur each time you draw the line, then select this on. Make sure you do this for each configuration number you want to use with the Line tool.

You would do this for each tool you want to adjust.

Again, refer to the previous link we gave, but also refer to the following for a better understanding of the Configuration Number:
Chart Drawing Tools: Using Multiple Drawing Tool Configurations

If a tool does not have the Date or Label option, then it is not available. We are very busy in our current development, so we cannot say when we would get to updating the tools to have additional text options.

Okay i understand, the line tool requires (and probably others) the Copy Config Name to Text selected in the Line Config property first before the label will display on the chart.

This was confusing, i expected by selecting the line and Chart Drawing Properties which opens the line property window, would show the same options that the line config property window does.

Thank you for considering adding date options to other tools as well, i think it's a value feature to display on charts.
