Dear SC, I have only noticed in the continuous charts for the major metals: gc, si, hg in which volume is missing. Is there something I am doing wrong? I have made a copy of gold for your review.

Nothing you are doing wrong. Just need to understand how those particular symbols work:

thank you for your response. I relied upon method 2 which works well with future contracts on a quarterly basis, but futures such as gold, silver, copper, oil, natural gas have more than four equally timed contract months when compared to currencies and indices. I believe the historic data for such commodities as gold fails to switch to the next active contract month, but is setup instead like the currencies and indices. Any suggestions?

Hi SC Support, I went to another method of using SC data history in which I clicked the continuous charts box in the chart settings. I had also set in the chart settings the intraday bar period to intraday chart which gave me the most accurate opening and closing times. After applying the settings, it seems there is missing data in the daily for the most current contract and an intraday chart totally locks up after unclicking the continuous charts box.

Update Sierra Chart by selecting Help >> Download Current Version. Continuous Futures Contracts have been redeveloped in the latest versions.

If there is any missing data, refer to help topic 7.1 here:

Hi SC, I updated to the latest version 1070 as suggested. SI and HG have challenges. SI is missing data in the continuous even though the individual contract shows the data. Screenshot attached.

HG has just plain and simple holes as can be seen in the uploaded screenshot
