I recently had an issue with missing data and resolved it by downloading the latest update. Yesterday, I opened a Sierra Chart instance on a second computer, updated it to the latest version, and I am missing data again, this time prior to yesterday. I have spent many many hours trying to resolve it with all I know about retrieving missing data. I have searched documentation and FAQ's, etc. and I'm stuck. The only thing I can see is that under "Chart Settings - Date Range", I am unable to set "From" prior to 11-27-2019 and I can't figure out why. I am asking for 300 days of of intraday data. Please advise. Thanks |

There could be different reasons for this, and we have done some updates to help with this. Update to the latest prerelease 2019: Software Download: Fast Update And then: Re-download all the data in the chart by going to the chart and selecting "Edit >> Delete All Data and Download". You just need to do this once per symbol and not for each chart. Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. Other responses are from users. Ouch I downloaded the latest pre release 2019 and now have a blank chart after "Edit- Delete all Data and Download." Even grid lines are gone, but I guess that may have to do with no data. I do get a "Download Failed" notice. Fortunately, this is not my main computer (which is ok with version 2017) it is a backup laptop. |
