I have a chart set up to monitor for a reversal signal and trigger a trade if found. Trouble is, it will then reverse the reversal when the trade closes. I need to figure out how to keep this chart from reversing its own trades. If I could fetch the chart number I could use that in my signal study, but I can't figure out a way to do that. Is it possible? Or is there a better way to accomplish this? |

Aha, turns out it's available in the Spreadsheet trading study. I'll give that a go!

OK I can fetch the current chart number, but that doesn't actually help me. I need to be able to tell that the current position originated from this particular chart, not just know what the current chart number is. Any idea how I can tell what chart a trade originated on? |
