Colors of text on Volume by Price don't work?

I'm experimenting with the styling of text on the Volume by Price study, for displaying the volume on the bars. Font size works provided it's above 5, but the colors don't seem to behave as described in the documentation. The docs state regarding the "Volume Numbers Text Color and Size" setting:

"The Primary color setting controls the text color when the volume text is positive. The Secondary color setting controls the color when the volume text is negative."

All I get is white text though, even when the values are negative they are always white. What am I missing here?

The first thing is to make sure that you are using the correct Subgraph for the particular values that you are wanting to change.

From your wording, we assume you are trying to change the color of the text that is drawn inside of a bar that is defined by the Input for Display Volume in Bars. For this text, you need to adjust the colors in the Subgraph named Volume Numbers Text Color and Size. When this Subgraph is selected, there will be 2 boxes under the Color heading, by default the one on the left is White and the one on the right is a Dark Blue. The Primary color is the one on the left and is used for Positive Values, the Secondary color is the one on the right and is used for Negative values.

Be sure that after you select the color and change it, that you also select Apply or OK on the Settings page to have the change update the Volume by Price profile. If you select Cancel, the color change will not be kept.

If you are using all of this correctly and still having problems, please attach a screenshot of your chart showing the wrong coloring for the numbers. The information for how to attach a screenshot can be found here:

Since you are displaying both the Ask - Bid and the Total volume, the Secondary color does not get used. This is due to the fact that the numbers are actually a string and the entire string is one color or another. We have updated the documentation to state this.
