Symbol Entry from Chart Window in Second Instance Problem

Hello, I started a second instance through the File >> New Instance method. Indeed it just auto starts it now. I have things mostly set up and it appears to be pulling real-time intraday stock data from the primary instance just fine. What does not seem to be working correctly is the symbol entry from the chart window. If I type in "IBM" for example it defaults to some other symbol that I already had loaded through the "Find" method. How can I get it to NOT do this and instead go to the primary instance and download data? Alternatively, I am OK with the sub-instance using the primary's data folder if that is possible. Currently, the Data Files Folder is set to the sub-instance's folder AND the "Always Use Data Folder Within Main Folder" is CHECKED. Yet it populates the instance's data folder with symbol data, which isn't a huge problem but seems unnecessary for my purpose. The purpose for this second instance, if that helps, is to display thumbnail charts for 12-14 stocks (which will change daily) of a 2-minute chart.
