The problem is you changed the Price Display Format for the chart incorrectly. You need to increase it to .001. Refer to:
Chart Settings: Price Display Format (Chart >> Chart Settings >> Symbol >> Symbol Settings menu)

that was done on purpose. i only want it to show in increments of .01 so i can quickly see what 1 pip is in the chart. I wasn't expecting this to be support but it'd be nice if it was.

You could set the scale increment to achieve the result you want.
