My charts seem to be lagging by about 5-10 seconds. I am trading the ES and am used to seeing the time on the chart pretty much match the time in the main title bar of the program. However lately this has changed and now it lags by about 5-10 seconds. I have spent time looking through lots of support boards but have not managed to find a fix so could someone please point me in the right direction.

I am using the Sierra data feed.

Thanks

Thanks for getting back to me. I have tried everything suggested in the information link you provided. For some reason pausing the anit-virus seems to have had an effect. I have paused the anit-virus and then ran SC. The lag seems to be around 1 second. Stays around 1 second now even with the anti-virus running again.

I have also tried the bandwith adjustments as well. These did not have any effect. When I use a different computer with exactly the same setup there is no lag. The chart time on this computer is actually leading the title bar time so I think this rules out the bandwidth? The spec on the second computer is about the same as the one with the lag so I don't think the problem is cpu processing.

What antivirus program are you running? We need to add this to our documentation as a cause for data lagging.

I am using ESET NOD32 antivirus. But I was using the same antivirus on my other computer and didn't have any lag issues. Also I have the antivirus running again and the lag seems to be fixed now.

Is there any lag reduction with this option if one has a fast internet connection ie 300Mbps and is only using Level 1 depth anyway?
