When I was trading, I lost my internet connection for 1 full minute. But during that minute, my green connection box remained green (then it turned a quick yellow & green once my internet connection was restored). So my question is, why doesn't the connection box turn red instantly during an internet disconnection like most other platforms ? |

It depends upon how the Internet connection was lost. If it was lost in a way which is not detectable at the socket layer with an immediate disconnect, then the connection would remain in the case of a websocket connection for a little over than a minute. We see you are using CQG. The length of time was increased due to all the connectivity problems users have to CQG.
