Underlying Symbol Strange Behavior

When I change the Symbol over Quoteboard my Symbols without underlying Symbol are getting the last used underlying Symbol. When I apply Global Symbol Settings the underlying symbol gets deleted. When I change the chart symbol from a symbol with underlying symbol i get the wrong underlying symbol again. Quoteboard Test: ES/MES to NQ => NQ/MNQ NQ/MNQ to CL => CL/MNQ CL/MNQ to ES => ES/MES ES/MES to GC => GC/MES GC/MES *Deleting MES by hand* => GC GC -> CL => CL CL -> ES => ES/MES ES/MES -> CL => CL/MES Noticed in version 2001 but downgrade to 1991 does not help. Rithmic Symbols Tested also with new chartbook. |

I can reproduce it with new 1997 installation and default SC Data Service.

First, the Underlying Symbol setting in the Global Symbol Settings has no connection in any way to the Chart Settings. It is totally irrelevant here. You will not want to link a Quote Board to a chart that uses the Trade and Current Quote Symbol, unless you specify a Trade and Current Quote Symbol in the Global Symbol Settings for the Symbols you are using in the Quote Board. Otherwise, what you will find is that the Trade and Current Quote Symbol will remain with the chart and only the main symbol of the chart changes. We will add the above to the documentation. My Bad I meant Trade/quote Symbol not Underlying Symbol. I would expect that Trade and Current Quote Symbol will not remain when the field is empty in Global Symbol Settings. Otherwise its a bug because it makes no sense to trade the wrong symbol. Date Time Of Last Edit: 2019-10-22 16:29:50
