To open a chartbook without using the mouse you can try one of the following two methods: 1. Ctrl+B (To open the File >> Open Chartbook dialog.) 2. Type in the name of the chartbook that you want to open. 3. Enter to open the chartbook. 1. Alt F (To open the File Manu.) 2. [1-9] (To select the chartbook you want from the 14 most recently opened ones. 3. Enter to open the highlighted chartbook. Sierra Chart Support |

Max, this is not about opening, it's about switching from one to another---what ways are there to do that?

I trade with 4 chartbooks and use voice recognition software. I'm constantly swapping out the chartbooks and never once lifting a finger, my hands are in my pockets (I'm standing when I'm trading). Just a suggestion, you might want to look into it.

I switch out my chartbooks by using the CB button up in the menu tool bar, it's between the Window button and the CW button. There's also a list of the open chartbooks in the File button of the menu toolbar, you can use either one. Voice recognition just sends the command to Sierra charts, just the same as a mouse click sends a command to Sierra Carts. The voice recognition software is free, it's part of windows, and it works every bit as good (imo) as the $150 Dragon voice recognition software. Just don't expect a cheap microphone to work with any voice recognition software, it'll drive you crazy correcting all the errors the cheap microphone creates.

Use the CB Chartbook menu to select Chartbooks.

Within SC you can define keyboard shortcuts to quickly switch between chartbooks. To do so, go to Global Settings >> Customize Keyboard Shortcuts, open/unfold Window and define your desired Keyboard Shortcuts for Previous and Next Chartbook. |
