If I get the SC Exchange Data Feed and Order Routing services and I'm in China

and my ping times using ping testing servers are:
Chicago: ~210ms
Frankfurt: ~160 to ~400, big discrepancies depending on server so I guess unreliable
London: ~300ms
Singapore: ~190ms

I ask because it says to use the Singapore server if you are in Asia

but based on these times I would think that Chicago makes the most sense, right?

I think ~190 ms would be faster than ~210 ms. Whether the connection is more robust and stable, is another discussion altogether.

but doesn't everything ultimately take place in Chicago? I mean that's where the exchanges are

ah Ok I forgot to mention that I would trade the CME group of exchanges and possibly later the EUREX.

Isn't the denali feed always originated from Chicago? If e.g. I connect to the London server, will the feed then also be connected to London or is only the order routing using the TT Fix Gateway in London?

Yes the data feed does originate from Chicago. If you are using the London server for order routing it does not change the data feed. Order routing for London goes through the TT FIX Gateway in London.

But we would recommend using the CME Data center server (server 2) if you are trading CME markets . You will have the absolute lowest latency. Otherwise, there is going to be a significant increase in latency.

Plz which address to ping your TT FIX order routing at Aurora DC3 server ?
The last router before ds1.sierracharts.com is barchart.com, so rather your datafeed ?

There is no way to ping the server. It will not respond to pings.

1) does Denali / RealTime data feed always use the Chicago server? if you are not signed up for the SC Order Routing?

I mean, you can't use Singapore with it?

2) if you are signed up for SC Order Routing with Real Time Data, and choose the Singapore server - is that just the routing that goes through singapore? the data still comes from Chicago?

1. Yes. There is no reason for it to be other than in Chicago. The data originates from there. That is going to be the lowest latency.

2. Yes.
