'Market if Touched' Order Type problem

When I select the Market if Touched order type and execute a buy at a trigger point above current price (in order to basically facilitate a break-out trade) the order ends up triggering instantly instead of at the trigger price. Please advise what I am doing wrong. Same scenario occurs for a market sell when the trigger is below current price on instrument.
