The initial balance study does not have the capability to extend until future intersection. Can this be added?

It would be also helpful when the Initial Balance Study has the Starttime1 as Starttime when using Evening Session.

@mpro, you can do this by these settings:

Start End Time Method: Use Session Start Time...
Period End As Minutes From Session Start: 60 (or whatever OR/IB time frame you're using)

When I use these settings I get the Starttime2 as Session start. That's useless. Can't use fixed time because switchting between ES / CL.

Use different chartbooks or charts for each instrument. Don't use start times. Use session start/end times based on the times set in your Chart Settings.

My intent is to improve the software.

You're asking for something that can't be done. CL and ES do not have the same trading sessions, they require your input to determine that. The only way this would work is to have SC automatically choose these session times for you based on the instrument, but then this would not work for many people trading different sessions (Asia/London/US).

So back to my original question for Sierra:

The initial balance study does not have the capability to extend until future intersection. Can this be added?

They only need to change Starttime2 with Starttime1. You set your Session Times in your Symbol settings not in the Studys.

yes because that is the correct way of setting it. what you're asking is reinventing what is already there. having two start times and using an evening session for 2 instruments would require FOUR start/end times, as well as variables as to what start/end time to use, when you can simply configure the session times and use different charts without constantly changing a study setting.

it is unnecessary to add a bunch of other variables to a study when the platform already offers a way to do it. switching between instruments and having to reload chart data is also inefficient. but please, if this is something you want, ask in a different thread.

This is Starttime1 and Starttime2 nothing should be added.

ACSIL Interface Members - Variables and Arrays: sc.StartTime1
ACSIL Interface Members - Variables and Arrays: sc.StartTime2

Atm you can't use Daysession for InitialBalance.
