I upgraded and now my historical Sierra Chart data is all being downloaded again.
I also lost the symbol settings.
Is there anyway to stop this and preserve my data, and symbol settings?

The only explanation is you have installed Sierra Chart into a different folder than previously. Or the Data Files folder has changed.

Otherwise, for historical data to be completely downloaded again is an impossibility.

Regarding symbol settings, refer to the notes for version 1953 here:

I have now reached the daily download limit.
At what time does the limit reset?

I have a installation of the previous version of Sierra Chart on another computer.
Can I copy this installation folder to a new folder on the computer I just upgraded?
I could use the old installation until such time I have completed all the data downloads for the upgraded installation.

We apologize for the delay. The limit resets the next day. We are working on changing the implementation of this allowing you to pay for additional queries without getting blocked.

Can I copy this installation folder to a new folder on the computer I just upgraded?
Yes. Refer to help topic 15:

Your right I installed the update into the wrong folder.
I managed to restore using the backup installation I had on my laptop.
I will attempt to upgrade again next week.

The only custom settings I have for the symbols are:
Time Zone
Use Evening Session
Start New Daily Bars at Session Start  Yes
Day and Evening session start / end times.

I guess I will need to reenter them manually after I upgrade?

If you have entered those custom symbol settings previously, they are available in an XML file in the SymbolSettings subfolder. We explain this in the notes for 1953 here:
