Apologies as a basic one - I never used to have any trouble saving symbol settings and applying them but for some reason that I cannot work out now my session times keep defaulting back to 24 hr format -
I keep updating session time settings in global symbol settings - but whenever i adjust to a new chart off a linked watchlist session times always revert to 24 hr default.
I only have symbol linked off the watchlist and all attached charts
Sorry as I am stumped and cannot seem get to bottom of

Is there a way to set/retain all symbol settings automatically to simply follow the exchange trading hours times?

We apologize for the delay here.

This is fully explained here:
Global Symbol Settings: Setting of Intraday Chart Session Times

Also make sure that Global Settings >> Symbol Settings >> Use Custom Symbol Settings Values is enabled.

Is there a way to set/retain all symbol settings automatically to simply follow the exchange trading hours times?
We are gradually working on this and this should be out over the next couple of weeks.

Has this been implemented/which version should it be in?

We will work to get this finished up over the next week. There is no need to update.

But you will need to apply the Session Times to the chart when we are done:

I'm using v1983, SC Data Feed, and SC Futures Trading Evaluator Service in sub instances, and every day I follow all the instructions in the documentation (Use custom symbol settings, apply intraday session times to chart), and set the session times per the exchange trading hours in the Global Symbol settings, and every day they somehow reset and both the session times in the Global Symbol settings and all my charts go back to some incorrect pre-set session time. Updating from server does not help as that's where the wrong settings seem to come from, and every day I have to re-set them all again.

And since there is no way to sync settings between instances, I have to do this in every instance?

Please advise as soon as this is fixed/finished.

To solve this problem, refer to:
Global Symbol Settings: Preventing the Changing of Intraday Chart Session Times

and set the session times per the exchange trading hours in the Global Symbol settings, and every day they somehow reset
This cannot be true in newer versions of Sierra Chart when you have set custom symbol settings for any of the fields. It is technically impossible unless the custom symbol settings file were read-only or somehow inaccessible.

I removed session times in the chart linking, even though I want them synced between linked charts when changing symbols. I've followed the other instructions already, the session times in the Global Symbol settings themselves are changing somehow, it still occurred again on one symbol today, RTY.

My guess is maybe somehow linked watch lists are causing this, maybe by scrolling to the next data file outside the watch list from a linked chart, not the chart with the watch list. Then changing back to the files in the watchlist, somehow changes the session times for a symbol in the global symbol settings.

I've tried using the correct watch list on the linked chart also now to see if that prevents it.

Also when scrolling through the watch list, the chart/symbol changes quickly, but it takes a few seconds for the symbol showing selected in the compact watch list control bar to update, any way to fix this?

What you describe in post #9 is a complete and total impossibility. There is no connection whatsoever between a watchlist and the Global Symbol Settings.

How do come to the conclusion, there are changes with the session times in Global Symbol Settings? How are you setting them and how do you come to this conclusion? Provide screenshots.
