Chart Replay and Trade Simulation Mode

Greetings, I want to Replay a Trading Day and when pressing the play button on the replay control panel then a window pops up asking me, if i want to enable trade simulation mode. I can either enable the sim mode and start the replay or i can choose not to enable the sim mode but then nothing else happens. It just closes the Dialog Window. Problem is i want to see the order fills of this day on the charts and going in sim mode wont show me any trades because there are none in the SIM account. Is there a solution or why doesnt it work that way? Best Regards |

What you want to do is not supported. There is not the ability to replay order fills that have already occurred. We will look into that capability later on. We would not expect to get to that until next year.

I would like to "upvote" this request. I regularly review my past week's trades and it would be really useful to be able to see them in replay mode so I can re-live my trading thoughts and emotions and see how I could have handled it better. Today I have to take a screenshot of my live account before I move to the replay so I can see where I got in and out. Alternatively, a way to copy the trades from my live account over to the SIM account so they could be replayed there might also work. |

This is now supported in version 2118: Support for replaying past simulated trade fills. When replaying a chart, when in chart trade mode and there were past order fills which have not been cleared, as the time is encountered in the chart where the order fill occurs, then it will display on the chart if the chart is set to display order fills. Eventually this will also support replaying of live trade fills as well. The complication of replaying of live trade fills is that live accounts cannot be selected when in Trade Simulation Mode which is on during a replay.

I just tested this out on 2118 but was unable to replay any trades from my live account. Starting replay always seems to force you into SIM mode. What is the process to see the previous live trades on the replay? |

Sorry, I don't understand. I thought "This is now supported in version 2118:" meant it was now possible to replay live account trades.

We will see if we can add support soon for non-simulated accounts. This is more involved because using those accounts in simulation mode is not allowed.
