The CTS symbol for CL is CL.CME_20140100_CLF4.CME_NY and the price on the charts is represented as 9310 Price Display Format = 1 Tick Size = 1.000000 Volume at Price Multiplier = 1 The Historical symbol has been set as CL# and the price on the charts is represented as 93.10 Price Display Format = .01 Tick Size = 0.010000 Volume at Price Multiplier = 1 I am unable to make the Daily OHLC overlay on the Intraday charts properly. On this chartbook, the windows are all linked and I would like this to work for ALL symbols typed into the Intraday chart. 1) Is it possible to format the historical and intraday symbols the same? 2) Should I see [M] after enabling the SC rtdf? #1) The issue has been solved by choosing "Use Primary Service Server" for the Historical Daily Data Source. #2) I still cannot tell if the SC rtdf is enabled. |

1. Yes that is one solution or adjusting the Historical Price Multiplier in Chart >> Chart Settings >> Advanced Settings 2 for the Historical Daily chart. 2. You should see the [M] indicator after symbol. If you do not, restart Sierra Chart and provide a copy of the Message Log, by following these steps: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=PostingInformation.php#log Also make sure the symbol settings are up to date: https://www.sierrachart.com/index.php?l=doc/doc_GlobalSymbolSettings.php#UpdateSettings Sierra Chart Support - Engineering Level Your definitive source for support. The symbol settings do not make sense. The main Symbol should be the standard CTS T4 symbol. For example: CL.CME_20140100_CLF4.CME_NY. Trade and Current Quote Symbol should be empty. Sierra Chart will automatically handle the necessary mapping to the symbol used by the Sierra Chart real-time server. There is nothing to do on your side. This is not making sense. It works for us: http://www.sierrachart.com/image.php?l=1385978652965.png We did have a look at the Message Log. We see where it indicates there is no mapping found, but there clearly should be. We recommend opening a new chart for that symbol through File >> Find Symbol and reconnecting to the data feed using the commands on the File menu. I did one more symbol reset and this time I did not update the time zone or set the round turn commission. Now the [M] appears for CL.CME_20140100_CLF4.CME_NY Back to the other question regarding Data Throughput and Buffering. If I choose Trade Only, it reverts back to Smart Trade after stopping/starting SC and when disconnecting/connecting with F11. I do not want 2 data streams arriving. How do we know that SC is only receiving the SC rtdf and not the CTS rtdf? Date Time Of Last Edit: 2013-12-02 10:34:56

OK, we see what the problem is. This issue will be resolved in the next release. If you see [M] by the symbol, then you can be assured that there is no data from CTS being used for that symbol.
